D&T Servicing | Clutches
The standard clutch kit consists of a pressure plate, clutch plate and release bearing. These are secured to the flywheel with mechanical fasteners, and rotate via the flywheel. It is highly recommended that all the relevant components be replaced at the same time. It is also advisable to machine the flywheel in order to ensure that the flywheel mating surface is within the required specification. There are two types of gearboxes: front wheel drive and rear wheel drive. The rear wheel drive clutch kit is easier to remove & install than the front wheel drive clutch kit.
